The Bad Penny
Six years ago Jack "The Ripper" Stemmons, an American boxer had his career destroyed by a St. Louis bookie. After Jack seeks revenge he is forced into hiding. Jack disappears half way around the world in Thailand. There he falls victim to the addictive spell of Bangkok's exotic and dangerous underworld. Eventually he finds solace in the arms of a beautiful prostitute who has been set in his path by a Russian gangster in order to get Jack back in the ring, This time in Bangkok's notorious underground fight clubs. No matter how hard Jack tries to distance himself from his past, it always hunts him down like a Bad Penny. When a mysterious fight fan appears, it's only a matter of time before Jack's past, present and future accelerate and collide into a twisted climax.

The First Trailer for 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance' Looks WAY Better Than the First Movie (VIDEO)
This morning we got our hands on the first ambiguous teaser poster, but now that we've seen the debut trailer for 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance,' we just got a lot more excited. For something that looks more like a reboot than a sequel, this could be just the career boost Nicolas Cage needs to get us to stop talking about his hair and finally embrace him as an action hero. But enough from us, go ahead and click through to check out Johnny Blaze piss flames and scream bullets in the surprisingly awesome first trailer. We don't know where directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor were when the first movie was being made, but it looks like they're exactly what this franchise needed. If this is any indication of what the final product is going to look like, we are counting down the days until that February 17, 2012 release date. Roadside Nabs U.S. Rights To Dane Cook Drama 'Answers To Nothing'
Roadside Attractions has acquired U.S. rights to the Dane Cook-starring drama Answers to Nothing and will release it nationally on Dec. 2. The film follows interweaving stories set in Los Angeles against the backdrop of a child kidnapping. Matthew Leutwyler (The River Why) directs and co-wrote the script with Gillian Vigman based on his original story.Elizabeth Mitchell, Julie Benz, Barbara Hershey and Zach Gilford co-star. Ambush Entertainment's Amanda Marshall produced with Sim Sarna; Ambush's money arm Cold Iron Pictures financed.Howard Cohen negotiated the rights deal on behalf of Roadside and Greg Bernstein on behalf of Ambush.

Maria Menounos Joins 'Extra,' Signs Production Deal with Telepictures

She'll also have on-air duties with the CW's Dr. Drew's Lifechangers, which premieres on Sept. 19, Telepictures president Hilary Estey McLoughlin, and Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey, senior EP of Extra and Dr. Drew's Lifechangers, announced Thursday. "We are thrilled to have Maria in the Telepictures family. She is a great talent with diverse experience and appeal and her versatility will enable her to contribute to our slate in myriad ways," McLoughlin says in a statement of Menounos, who has also been an on-air correspondent for competitors Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight. "Maria is the perfect complement to Mario. He's the 'it' guy and she is the modern day 'that girl.' They're both trusted, respected and connected. I can't think of a better dream team in entertainment news," adda Gregorisch-Dempsey. "I'm so excited to join Mario on Extra and be a part of Dr. Drew's Lifechangers. Joining Telepictures is a great next step in my career. I loved working at NBC and thank the network for a great six-year run," says Menounos. There had been reports that NBC, for which she also served as a contributor to the Today show, Dateline and Nightly News With Brian Williams, did not want to pay to re-up her contract. She had been there since 2005. Menounos' most recent book, The EveryGirl's Guide to Life, recently hit the New York Times' bestseller list.
